The Muskoka Montessori School is a beautiful little school located in a natural Muskoka setting. Opened in 1999, we are a CCMA accredited, not-for-profit school. Students range in age from 3 through Grade 8.

  • MACTE Casa diploma 

  • High level of knowledge and teaching experience

Position Overview

 

•  Schedule and deliver the children's individual and group lessons and activities in cooperation with the teaching assistant

•  Be responsible and aware of the safety of the children at all times.

•  Be responsible for the care and renewal of the learning environment and actively participate in making materials.

•  Maintain observational and attendance records of each child in an orderly fashion.  

•  Obtain necessary documents from parents to complete student files.

•  Be aware of each child's progress while keeping communication with the teaching assistant regarding all children's progress within your care.

•  Keep parents informed of child's ongoing progress, through parent-teacher conferences and in writing year-end progress reports

•  Implement and practice SMS's COVID-19 Policies and Procedures

I'm formally trained in medicine and my husband is an engineer. We are looking for support for 3 toddlers. This supports us immensely, allowing us to continue our current projects in the world. We appreciate your generosity to work with us.

Our home environment has clean eating practices, healthy sleep hygiene, and a learning environment favouring the Montessori Modality: materials, how they’re placed on the shelves, the furniture and the mindset. We love experiencing creative expressions through music, art, nature, culinary palate, and self expression.

- We will provide meals and snacks. The candidate will complete: prep, assist and support with eating and clean up of meals and snacks

- Care time: 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday
