About the Event
Dr. Montessori understood all too well the connection between the hands and the intellect. She identified that children learn by doing and by using their hands. In this workshop we will take a closer look at the importance of handwork. We will discuss some of the theory behind handwork in the Casa environment and then do some hands-on learning of some simple sewing techniques, finger knitting and crocheting. You are invited to bring any handwork materials/activities from your classroom to show and share with the other participants.
